About this vehicle

The Ten Kate Racing Honda team dominated World Supersport for years, and in 2008 Honda offered this — a street-legal CBR600RR wearing the full Hannspree Ten Kate livery from the factory. Orange, white, and that unmistakeable CBS-sponsored nose.

The CBR600RR was already the benchmark supersport chassis of its era: a 599cc inline-four with Honda's Unit Pro-Link rear suspension and a frame geometry borrowed directly from the RC211V MotoGP machine. The Ten Kate edition adds nothing mechanically — it doesn't need to. It just looks exactly like the bike that Jonathan Rea and Sebastien Charpentier raced across Europe.

This one has 19,400 km, original exhausts, and has never been down.

Project Journal

Full service — belts, fluids, chain

Annual service: valve clearance check (all within spec — these engines are remarkably stable), fresh Motul 300V 10W-40, new DID ERT2 chain and JT sprocket set, Nissin brake fluid flush front and rear.

The original Bridgestone BT-016 tyres had reached the end of their useful life despite low mileage — age matters as much as wear. Replaced with Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SP v3. Night and day.

Acquired from original owner

Spotted in a private listing — one owner since new, always garaged, always serviced at a Honda dealer. The livery is remarkable for a 15-year-old bike: no fading, no cracks, no missing decals.

The seller was a collector who was thinning his fleet. He had kept it because of the livery, and I understand completely. You don't often find these in this condition.
